Below are the carriage fees for radio services broadcast on the Basingstoke DAB multiplex. Fees shown are subject to contract & the appropriate Ofcom licence being held and are payable in advance, prior to broadcast.
Basingstoke DAB reserves the right to amend the ratecard from time to time. Only payments by BACS (bank transfer) are accepted. Bank details can be found on the Basingstoke DAB invoice.
We offer 3 pricing options for joining Basingstoke DAB, based on the classification of services and licence holders:
- C-DSP services using reserved capacity *
- Available only to radio stations based in the Basingstoke coverage area and holding an Ofcom C-DSP licence.
- Please note, there is a limited capacity availability for radio stations using reserved capacity.

- Available to Ofcom DSP licence holders anywhere.
- Local DSP discounted rate
- Available to local & community radio stations in areas adjacent to Basingstoke. **
- These are typically radio stations holding an Ofcom community FM licence or C-DSP licence in an adjacent area, seeking to extend their coverage using a DSP licence into the neighbouring Basingstoke area.

Basingstoke DAB Policy for allocation of capacity on Basingstoke DAB multiplex
All services must accept Basingstoke DAB Limited Terms & Conditions of Service in order to broadcast on the Basingstoke DAB multiplex,
Invoices must be paid in full before broadcasting can commence.
All services must hold the appropriately Ofcom licence, copies of which must be sent to Basingstoke DAB Limited for validation.
* Under the terms of our Ofcom licence, Basingstoke DAB must reserve 3 x 48kbps slots on the Basingstoke DAB multiplex for Ofcom licensed C-DSP services.
* The 3 x C-DSP slots must be reserved regardless of whether or not this capacity is fully occupied. If a C-DSP service using reserved capacity elects a lower capacity than 48kbps, then the net difference will be kept vacant to comply with our licence terms.
* For eligibility for reduced-rate carriage as a C-DSP service on the Basingstoke DAB multiplex, the licensee must hold an Ofcom C-DSP licence specifically for Basingstoke.
** A C-DSP service from another area, must obtain a DSP licence from Ofcom and the applicable DSP tariffs will apply, with the exception of local and community radio services in areas adjacent to Basingstoke, who may qualify for the Local DSP discounted rate.
** For the purposes of Local DSP discounted rate eligibility, adjacent areas to Basingstoke are defined as:

DSP services will be required to pay the applicable DSP fee as detailed in the table above. Capacity is allocated on a first come, first served basis.
A estimated maximum of approximately 29 slots are available on the Basingstoke DAB multiplex, comprising of at least 3 x C-DSP slots, and the balance a combination of C-DSP and DSP slots, subject to available capacity.
In the event that the Basingstoke DAB multiplex becomes oversubscribed, then stations wishing to join will have their interest registered. As and when capacity subsequently becomes available, Basingstoke DAB, will, at its sole discretion, select a service that it feels will enhance the range of DAB radio services available to the Basingstoke area.
